Mathematical Software

Registered participants in ICM 2010 can present their mathematical software in the form of a short communication (oral presentation lasting 15 minutes) or a poster. Each registered participant is allowed a maximum of one presentation (either short communication or poster). If a work has multiple authors, the author who will present the work at the ICM will be called the “presenting author”. If it is a single author work, this author automatically becomes the presenting author. To be able to present a short communication or poster at ICM 2010, the presenting author needs to follow the steps given below:

  • The presenting author should first pre-register/register using this web site. The author will receive an e-mail acknowledgement containing a pre-registration/registration database ID number. This number should be noted down for later use.
  • The presenting author should prepare an abstract of the short communication/poster for submission using the following guidelines:
    • abstracts should be written in English using LaTeX (2e), please do not use any other version of TeX;
    • download the sample file and replace the text by your own contribution;
    • the sample file also contains the instructions in the text, you can run latex on it to get them;
    • or you can download the instructions in this PDF file;
    • after running Latex on your file, abstracts (including references) should not exceed one page
  • The presenting author should submit the abstract before March 15, 2010 by sending an email to the adddress pablo@icm2010.org.in containing the following:
    1. name of presenting author and his/her pre-registration/registration ID in the body of the mail;
    2. the LaTeX file of the abstract (preferebly as an attachment to the mail);
    3. The Subject of the mail should be Mathematical Software Submission;
    4. please indicate in the mail your prefered mode of presentation: poster or short communication.
  • The presenting author will receive an e-mail acknowledgement of the submission. Acceptance/rejection of abstracts will be notified within one month of submission. Even though all efforts will be made to honour the choice indicated for the mode of presentation, this may not be always possible. Accepted abstracts will be published in the Abstract Book of ICM 2010.
  • The presenting author should pay the registration fees (see this page for further details) by April 30, 2010. Only those who have paid the registration fee by this date will be permitted to present their work at ICM 2010.
